stores we checked, confirmed on EAN each time. Listed weight 17.51 kg, which is
consistent with the machine rather than with an accessory.
Read the title carefully. Every store sells this as a bundle: “1600P-QC Straight-Stitch Machine and Kit” in the United States, “et paquet bonus gratuit” in France, “und Kit” in Germany. The machine is the primary item and the kit comes with it, but the German store files the listing under presser feet, which is wrong and would matter if you were browsing rather than searching. We confirmed the identity on EAN across all six stores rather than trusting any one title.
What Janome states. A high-speed straight-stitch machine with a presser foot sensor, a presettable needle up/down position, an independent bobbin winder, variable speed control and an automatic thread cutter. The European listings carry Amazon’s imported-product notice, so terms and manual language may differ from a local purchase.
What the weight tells you. Seventeen and a half kilograms on a domestic machine means a cast frame rather than a moulded shell. That is what allows a straight-stitch machine to run fast for hours without walking across the table or drifting out of timing.
Where we would look before buying. The stated maximum speed and the throat depth, neither of which appears on these listings.

Because everything else is compromise around the straight stitch. A machine with no zigzag needs no oscillating needle bar and can use a small round needle hole, which supports the fabric right up to the needle and stops fine layers being pushed down into the plate. If you are piecing a quilt, that is the stitch you make ten thousand of, and this machine does nothing else badly.
Winding a bobbin without unthreading the machine. On an ordinary domestic machine you take the thread out of the needle path to wind, then re-thread. Halfway through a quilting row that is a genuine interruption, and it is the sort of small thing that separates a machine designed for long work from one designed for short jobs.
