What we verified. Searching all six Amazon stores returned this machine on
two: B088Q1YYT9 on amazon.com and B07BV12833 on amazon.co.uk. It did not
appear on the German, French, Italian or Spanish catalogues.
Why we are publishing this page anyway. Because “which Janome should I buy?” is a question people genuinely ask, and the useful answer for a French or Spanish reader is that the model they have read about elsewhere is not sold to them. A page that says so is more use than silence, and considerably more use than a link to a product page that does not exist.
The pattern, now measured twice. The Janome 230DC showed the same shape — present on Germany, Italy and the UK, absent from France, Spain and the US. Two data points are not a rule, but they are enough for us to check Janome availability market by market before building any part of this site around the brand.
What the manufacturer states. Little on either listing. We have not filled the gaps from other machines in the Sewist line.

Why does Janome keep disappearing from European Amazon stores?
Janome distributes through different importers country by country, and those importers do not all sell through Amazon. We have now measured it twice — on the 230DC and on this machine — with the same result: present in Germany, Italy or the UK, absent in France and Spain. It is a distribution pattern, not a coincidence.
Can I import one from another country?
You can, and people do. What you lose is the local warranty and the local dealer, which on a machine meant to last fifteen years is most of what you were paying for. We would not recommend it unless you are comfortable servicing the machine yourself.
