What we verified. The reference B00V38JTBY designates this pack on amazon.de, .fr, .it, .es and .co.uk, confirmed on EAN. We could not confirm it on amazon.com, so the US market is left empty and the link there serves a local search rather than a reference we cannot prove.

What the needle is for. Machine embroidery, not ordinary sewing. The eye is larger in proportion to the shaft so that low-twist rayon and polyester embroidery threads pass through without being scraped, and the size stays fine so that dense fill stitching does not perforate the ground fabric.

The error worth avoiding. Running an embroidery design on a universal needle and blaming the thread when it frays and snaps. Change the needle first. Then check the stabiliser, because an unsupported fabric that shifts in the hoop produces the same broken stitches for a different reason.
